Springfield Union Station has won the prestigious Phoenix Award grand prize for the best brownfields-redevelopment project in the nation. This redevelopment project was singled out for both national and regional awards for outstanding achievement and innovation relating to environmental and community issues. Daniel O’Connell’s Sons, a subsidiary of The O’Connell Companies, served as construction manager for this highly complex public/private project.
